Summer learing journey

I was born in greymouth. I live in kumara. My nana used to live in a old house but when I was 1 year old, Me and my mum got our own house. And when I was 4 my nana got a new house as well. Now that im 9 I still go down to my nanas and dakotas house everyday. Me and koda always go for walks to the park and back to her house.

The time i looked in the mirror

The time I looked in the mirror When Koda dyed my hair I could feel the hair dye dripping from the bottle on my head. When I saw it in the mirror. My hair looked darker then how the package of the hair dye looked tho. My hair kinda looked black but that was ok I didn’t mind black or brown hair cause there kinda the same. Then I hairdred it and then it got darker. I got super excited since it is my first time having dark hair.

My Cool Descriptive Writing

I leaped into the air. My hair pushed into the ground, It looked freaky when I was upside down. I could hear heaps of people cheering my name, I whispered to myself “i can do this!” and then I leaped to the floor and gone upside down for 3 seconds. I was scared, but i was brave and proud of myself. My heart was beating so fast like thunder.i see people bow at me.

Harold

Harold is a giraffe. Not a normal giraffe. He tells silly jokes, it kinda makes me laugh sometimes.

Harold came with Carmen from the Life Education caravan. When he came to Kumara School he taught me about the brain. We have 4 main parts to our brain. The ones we learnt about were the survival brain and the emotional part of the brain.

He came to also teach us about our digestive system. We learnt how the food goes into your mouth and then down a tube which Harold calls the Asausages.

It was fun when we went into the Life Education Caravan. The best thing we did with him was answer his questions.

Mercury

Mercury has different features than earth. The colour of Mercury is light and dark gray and the shape of it is not a circle but it is an oval. Isn't that weird? And did people know that it has three separate layers. It's made of Iron and is also rocky and dense.

It takes Mercury a long time orbit around the sun. it takes a long time to make one orbit. It spins really slowly. Is that weird? It takes less than a year ( 88 earth days ) for it to orbit around the sun. It can orbit more than 1 time in a year.

What do people think the temperature is at

Mercury at day time and night time? Well it's colder at night time than day time at Mercury. It’s -173c at Mercury when its night time and 400c at day time on Mercury.

Mercury is the smallest and innermost planet in the solar system. Mercury's axis has the smallest of any of the Solar System's planets (about ​1⁄30 degrees). It is not the hottest but closest.

Mercury is the innermost planet in the galaxy.

Mariner 10 is the only person to go to Mercury. He went on a spacecraft to Mercury in space so he could explore Mercury for earth.
